Hello friends, here's a new ICECUBES strip! It has been difficult for me to carve out the time to do strips on a more regular basis. The fact is that my day job takes up all of my time. For me to be able to spend more time drawing ICECUBES, the strip would need to make money. Right now the only source of revenue is from subscribers. For only $1 a month you can support the strip and read all the classic ICECUBES strips as well as members-only posts.

The other revenue is from clicks on the ads on the website. Although that only amounts to a few pennies per click, if the site could get more ad clicks it would make a big difference. So by all means click on the ads!

My hope is that in the near future I will be able to put together the Kickstarter campaign for the new book. That will be a big boost to the comic and I'm sure you are eager to get a new book as well. Additionally, I am open for commissions. For only $20 you get an original Leroy Brown drawing! Finally, the original art for the comic strips is always for sale. If you can't find it at the store, just send me an email to see if the strip you want is available. Books Bonanza!

ICECUBES new book fulfillment DSC00101 All the supplies have finally arrived! The new books, the posters and the sketch cards are all here. That means that the packages can start going out in the mail right away! I’ve decided that since everyone was so supportive and instrumental in getting this book funded that I will make a sketch card for each and every backer – all 48 of you! Wow, what an incredible week we have just had! Thanks to an amazing effort from ICECUBES fans who pledged and got the word out, thanks to family and friends who backed us once again and thanks to all the new fans who ordered their very first ICECUBES comic book – just when it seemed “THE i’S HAVE IT!” was not going to get funded, the tide changed and lo and behold: we made it! ICECUBES fans thank you “THE i’S HAVE IT!” will now be printed along with the brand new ICECUBES poster! Everything should be hitting the mail within two weeks as all the pre-production work has already been done. I had faith in this book and went ahead and finished it before going to kickstarter to raise funds. I felt the need to complete the work first so as not to make you wait months before getting your book. I am very happy the excitement of this come-from-behind miracle will still be fresh in everyone’s mind when you get your brand new copy of “THE i’S HAVE IT!” Thank you so much for being great fans and supporting ICECUBES!

Unfortunately, this year it also coincides with tax season, which is a major drag. ๐Ÿ™ That’s why even though there is a new half-finished ICECUBES strip on my drawing table, begging to be inked, it’s just not going to happen right away. You see, I have only managed to make $103 from ICECUBES so far this year and while you may say that’s still something, it’s really only the result of 2 years of Google ads on the website. As you may have noticed, the ads are now gone and that’s a good thing, they were slowing down the site and often had nothing to do with comics. So, for me to continue to make ICECUBES in a timely manner and be able to pay my taxes as well, I need to find revenue.

One method is a by publishing new book and one is coming real soon, so stay on the lookout! Another method is Patreon. I discovered Patreon through many other artists that use it. It works like this: you decide an amount you are willing to pay as a monthly subscription to ICECUBES, in return you get special bonus rewards reserved for subscribers only. This way you are supporting the strip and becoming part of a special club of subscribers and supporters. You can subscribe for as little as $1 a month and cancel at any time. I hope this works out as a good way to support the strip. In the meantime I wish you a beautiful Easter!

Hello fans, friends and family! As I write this it is very late at night (or early in the morning, however you want to look at it). I was of course busy drawing this weeks strip, but just ran out of time. This week I have had 100 different other things to do and the strip will have to wait. Among the other things I am doing however are some very exciting ICECUBES related news items! First, I am finally releasing the second ICECUBES book! You will be able to pre-order your copy on Kickstarter probably beginning next week, so watch out for that. Second, I have put together a way to make it easier for fans to show their support for ICECUBES. By just going to the new ICECUBES Patreon page, you can become a patron and actively support the strip and get some pretty cool rewards too!
