Good practice.

Schulz developed a fast stroke that is hard to replicate without lots of practice. For him over time, drawing Peanuts became like writing shorthand.

The best thing to do is to draw all the time, anywhere on anything. Even if it means drawing on a paper bag! Here are some sketches I made on whatever was at hand. It all ended up in a strip that you can read here.

I just came across this Newsweek cover yesterday. Anyone who read last week’s ICECUBES the comic strip # 0154 knows that I drew Freeze’s head in a giant icecube. That strip was published last Thursday, March 3. Newsweeks mag. is dated March 7. Make the comparison and the tell me who’s copying who?
