ICECUBES the comic strip. #0200
Posted on January 25, 2012 by Leroy Brown
Well here is #200 folks! Hooray for ICECUBES! :) I want to dedicate this ICECUBES strip #200 to my Grandfather who a long time ago told me that there were jobs in the world where people drew for a living. He was an engineer himself and did technical drawings professionally. I inherited some of his tools and used his ink dip compass to draw the sun in this strip. No computers, just real ink. Leroy, Congrats on your 200th strip! Your grandfather should be really proud! And what a vibrant and colorful strip you created for the occasion, appreciated much by yours truly even if not by the denizens of your strip!

Moon Drawings: Part 1.

Posted on June 20, 2011 by Leroy Brown
Recently I did a strip that was a little out of left field. I had the idea for a long time and didn’t really know how I was going to illustrate it. So I decided to do a lot of preliminary drawings to see if I could pull it off. I really like the result and so I thought I could share some of the process with you this week. We found an old fashioned drive-in to go to. It was lots of fun and they had pretty awesome paintings on the side of the food building… thought I would share. 🙂 Mr. Soda Pop!

    Comicpalooza!

We had a great time at Comicpalooza 2011 in Houston, Texas! I got to meet some talented artists and comic insiders including Bob Layton (Iron Man) and Don Kramer (Wonder Woman). Boy if I had more disposable income I would have definitely scooped up some original art! Here are some candid pics from Comicpalooza. 🙂 cp04 Cosplay contest.
