Summer!

Hey friends! Here's a quick drawing I did while sitting at my table at a comic convention recently. I was inspired by the hot summer we're having. Speaking of temperature, some cool things are happening for ICECUBES. This September I will be part of a comics symposium hosted by the University of Houston-Clear Lake. It should be a lot of fun with great art and great talks by fellow cartoonists. Also premiering this summer is the Happy Comics comics page appearing in print in the Kingwood Monthly newspaper, featuring ICECUBES, Zombie Boy, Urban Jungle, Jim Corn and Spudcomics. It's great to see some 'cool' comics in print for the first time! So sit back and enjoy the warm weather and watch for more ICECUBES news coming real soon! :) Leroy Brown

I Eats Me Spinach!

popeye-can I ate a can of this last night and I needed it too! What with managing my databases spread over 4 computers and 10 hard drives, troubleshooting extension conflicts on my Macs, trying to revive a dead laptop and cleaning the gears of my printer, I’m totally immersed in geek hell. If only I also knew php… but I digress. As you can see, I am hard at work, fighting to bring you the best comic strip experience ever! Oh yeah and I gotta draw sometimes too…!

ICECUBES had a table at Strip-The Dallas Webcomic Expo on Saturday, Aug. 6. We had a real good time and got to meet some great folks. Leroy Brown drawing a commission.

Hello folks, we’re getting ready for Dallas Webcomics Con, otherwise known as Strip. This should be a lot of fun. We will have a small table and I will be there to meet and greet. I will present my Kickstarter project for ICECUBES the Book! Welcome back friends! You surely noticed we were off the air for a short time while we changed web hosts. We are very excited to be with our new host Hostgator. I’m not trying to make an ad for them, but they have been so helpful that I just want to extend my thanks! Restoring the database meant that we used a backup so the last comic didn’t make the cut, so here it is in all it’s glory. Befittingly, the theme is happiness. Happiness for me is getting ICECUBES back up and running! Hooray!! Thanks for being patient and as we redesign the site to be even better, I hope you’ll feel the love! 🙂 Leroy Brown
