    It seems this strip should have come before the last one right? I had to do the t-shirts before going to Japan which is why the order is reversed. The Japanese Peckinpaw T-Shirt is available at the ICECUBES store in 12 awesome colors. Giant printed artwork size of 14″x12″ on front of shirt, super top quality. I bought one and wore it in Tokyo to the approval of random strangers on the subway. They gave me the “thumbs up!”

Comics Creator Caricature.

I make funny drawings so it’s only fair that cool caricaturist Richard Muniz should make a funny drawing of me! I met Richard at a local market fair and he helped me set up my tent and was not only a great caricaturist but also a really nice guy. His drawings are great and people were loving them. I was a little jealous of how quick Richard was with the pencil. If only I could draw that quick! Thomas Baer is our Special Prize winner! He wins a Limited Numbered Artist Edition of ICECUBES the comic book! Congratulations! Monday’s contest was so successful and exciting, that I’ve decided to extend it and add a special prize! Folks, this one is a little bit harder and that’s because the special prize is a limited numbered Artist Edition of ICECUBES the book! There are very few left of the original 200 numbered artist edition copies and you can win one! So to recap, we are celebrating the wonderful contribution of Belgian artists to the world of comics.     • Great job! Check tomorrow’s update for a chance to win the special prize! Bonjour comic fans! Last week a cool thing happened at ICECUBES. The website got a bunch of visitors from Belgium! Belgium came in third place for most visits by country. That title is usually reserved for the UK or Australia, as ICECUBES is an English speaking comic. Belgium beat them this week! You may know that Belgium is the birthplace of the European School of Comics. Started just before WWII, the school flourished in the post-war period with many international comic stars. ICECUBES the comic strip To celebrate this, I’ve decided to start a week-long contest to see who knows their Belgian comics! So here goes: be the first person to answer the challenge (one prize per person please!)

    Striking A Pose!

    Ice cubes comic strip drawings I always sketch out difficult poses before committing them to paper. The thing you’re looking for is how to inject energy into the drawing. So imagine the characters are alive and moving around on the page. Sometimes it helps to close your eyes and picture it. Having said that, you can see that I erased plenty of times before getting it right. Don’t be afraid of using the eraser! Nobody is watching and sometimes it takes a lot of bad drawings to get a good one! 🙂 Ice cubes comic strip 224 Here’s the published comic.
