Hi dear friends, welcome to a new ICECUBES comic strip. Peckinpaw is still feeling somewhat blue (and so am I...) But I really wanted to start drawing strips again. Also, please support the strip by clicking on the ads, it really helps! Thanks.

    How do you like the colors on this strip? I was looking for a new palette that reflected my mood better and this is the closest I could get. We’ll see how it develops in future strips. My color process is always a bit of a struggle. I don’t have any set rules and I end up experimenting a lot. Let me know what you think!

Pagination.

book-paginationIn other words, trying to figure out a/ which strips to feature in the book, b/ which order to put the strips in, c/ which order to put the pages in. There are 175 strips featured, spanning almost 4 years of ICECUBES. So the challenge is to put them in a sequence that makes sense. A lot of cutting and pasting old school style with scissors and glue! 😉

Scanning & Coloring for the Book!

hand These days I have been busy re-scanning all the strips for the book. They were originally scanned at 150dpi for the web but need to be re-scanned at 600dpi for the book… Oh well, I won’t make that mistake again! I then need to clean and color all 170 strips. Quite a job! As you can see from the brace on my right hand, it’s taking a toll. All this computer work is giving me a bad case of carpal tunnel syndrome… But, have no fear, you won’t be disappointed because ICECUBES the Book is coming out real soon and will be a huge success! 🙂 Leroy Brown
