ICECUBES the comic strip #358
Posted on June 25, 2024 by Leroy Brown
Hello friends, here's a new ICECUBES strip! It has been difficult for me to carve out the time to do strips on a more regular basis. The fact is that my day job takes up all of my time. For me to be able to spend more time drawing ICECUBES, the strip would need to make money. Right now the only source of revenue is from subscribers. For only $1 a month you can support the strip and read all the classic ICECUBES strips as well as members-only posts.

The other revenue is from clicks on the ads on the website. Although that only amounts to a few pennies per click, if the site could get more ad clicks it would make a big difference. So by all means click on the ads!

My hope is that in the near future I will be able to put together the Kickstarter campaign for the new book. That will be a big boost to the comic and I'm sure you are eager to get a new book as well. Additionally, I am open for commissions. For only $20 you get an original Leroy Brown drawing! Finally, the original art for the comic strips is always for sale. If you can't find it at the store, just send me an email to see if the strip you want is available. Thanks so much for reading ICECUBES and being such cool fans!

© Leroy Brown As if I didn’t have enough going on, I decided to start a new comicbook project. Actually I started this comic a long time ago but I’ve decided to work on it some more. It’s a bit of a different style although I think it’s going to look great. Here’s a drawing from it. More soon 🙂 Also don’t forget the ICECUBES book that we’re going to start promoting on Kickstarter soon! Leroy Brown

Writing a comic strip is fun and it can also be challenging. Coming up with new stuff on a constant basis is sometimes tougher than you might think. Charles Shulz said that it was difficult to explain to people that staring out the window in a daze was when he did his hardest work. He also said he had to use every idea that popped into his mind, because of the overwhelming demand of a daily strip. Ideas occur at any time and rarely are they fully fledged so it’s a good habit to write them down right away. Of course that can happen anywhere and sometimes you don’t have your laptop or even a notepad handy! Here’s proof that I’ll write on anything just to make sure I don’t forget that idea- even if it’s not a great one! 😉 Sribbled ideas on a bag. Here’s the finished strip: ICECUBES the comic strip #0101
