Hello friends, here's a new ICECUBES strip! It has been difficult for me to carve out the time to do strips on a more regular basis. The fact is that my day job takes up all of my time. For me to be able to spend more time drawing ICECUBES, the strip would need to make money. Right now the only source of revenue is from subscribers. For only $1 a month you can support the strip and read all the classic ICECUBES strips as well as members-only posts.

The other revenue is from clicks on the ads on the website. Although that only amounts to a few pennies per click, if the site could get more ad clicks it would make a big difference. So by all means click on the ads!

My hope is that in the near future I will be able to put together the Kickstarter campaign for the new book. That will be a big boost to the comic and I'm sure you are eager to get a new book as well. Additionally, I am open for commissions. For only $20 you get an original Leroy Brown drawing! Finally, the original art for the comic strips is always for sale. If you can't find it at the store, just send me an email to see if the strip you want is available. Pagination.

book-paginationIn other words, trying to figure out a/ which strips to feature in the book, b/ which order to put the strips in, c/ which order to put the pages in. There are 175 strips featured, spanning almost 4 years of ICECUBES. So the challenge is to put them in a sequence that makes sense. A lot of cutting and pasting old school style with scissors and glue! 😉

hand These days I have been busy re-scanning all the strips for the book. They were originally scanned at 150dpi for the web but need to be re-scanned at 600dpi for the book… Oh well, I won’t make that mistake again! I then need to clean and color all 170 strips. Quite a job! As you can see from the brace on my right hand, it’s taking a toll. All this computer work is giving me a bad case of carpal tunnel syndrome… But, have no fear, you won’t be disappointed because ICECUBES the Book is coming out real soon and will be a huge success! 🙂 Leroy Brown
