ICECUBES the comic strip #344

Posted on January 5, 2024 by Leroy Brown

Happy New Year everyone! Wow, 2024!! Hard to believe, but this will be the 16th year for ICECUBES the comic strip. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your support for the strip. There will be some new surprises this year! For starters, I will make a lot more artwork available for purchase by collectors. Also, "The I's Have It" is now available for $1.99 as a digital download at the ICECUBES Store. Thanks to all of you who are subscribers and if you would like to be one, it is only $1 per month - just hit the Members Only! button or click here!

Well, it's late and I have to go to bed. I hope you like this week's strip. Peckinpaw is kinda sore... I had some fun with the colors again and made 2 different versions, so try to see the differences on desktop vs. mobile and tell me which one you like best.

Ok, thanks for being such 'cool' ICECUBES fans!

I remember these wacky Rat Fink Bubble Gum Cards from when I was a kid. I couldn’t resist this Eskimo Hot Rod one. I just had to add it to my collection. I wonder what Nooky would think about it? 🙂

So here is the pencil for page 2 of Freeze’s movie adventure. Boy, this pencil is pretty intricate. How in the world am I going to ink this?!!! It’s pretty intimidating. Oh well, I thought you might enjoy seeing a preview of the pencils. Tune-in Friday to see the finished page.

Motion Capture!

Posted on December 15, 2023 by Leroy Brown

You’ve all seen how much Peckinpaw resents wearing the Motion Capture suit that Freeze made him put on for his film project, so I thought it would be neat to include this little movie of the new Motion Capture lab at my sons college 🙂

So I thought it would be neat to show the humble beginnings of a new strip. You never know where an idea might come from, so it’s best to jot anything down that comes to mind. In this case, I just had a notepad handy and sketched this down while I was at work. It eventually became strip #338 where Peckinpaw is dressed up in a Motion Capture suit for Freeze’s film! As a bonus to ICECUBES fans , I am making the original art for the strip available to purchase for $50, autographed and personalized. Just click here to go to the ICECUBES store.
