ICECUBES the comic strip #303
Posted on February 10, 2022 by Leroy Brown
Hmm, what's going on here? Has Peckinpaw decided to draw a strip of his own? I have no idea what's on his mind. I guess we'll have to see how this strange turn develops.

I just want to take a minute to thank all you ICECUBES fans for still tuning in after a rather longish hiatus. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a new chapter in the adventures of Peckinpaw, Freeze, Eggman, Nooky and the others. For this to work I have made some changes to the format of the strip. Since you are probably watching on a phone, ICECUBES is now in beautiful Vertical Vision©! The website is undergoing some radical changes too. I hope you will like the new experience and if you do, please consider supporting the strip. You can do so by simply clicking on the ads you see on the website. That really helps! Leroy Brown

Thanks for reading ICECUBES the comic strip! I hope you enjoy the new format. Let me know how it reads on your device. I try real hard to keep the ads PC friendly so let me know if anything is jarring. Please click on the ads if you can or become a subscriber for only $1.

Scanning & Coloring for the Book!

Posted on March 29, 2012 by Leroy Brown
hand These days I have been busy re-scanning all the strips for the book. They were originally scanned at 150dpi for the web but need to be re-scanned at 600dpi for the book… Oh well, I won’t make that mistake again! I then need to clean and color all 170 strips. Quite a job! As you can see from the brace on my right hand, it’s taking a toll. All this computer work is giving me a bad case of carpal tunnel syndrome… But, have no fear, you won’t be disappointed because ICECUBES the Book is coming out real soon and will be a huge success! 🙂 Leroy Brown

Friday Fan Art!

Posted on January 13, 2012 by Leroy Brown
My great cartoonist friend Eric Cartier sent me this a while back. I originally published it on my other website AtomikComix. I think it belongs here though and it will be the premiere of a brand new feature on ICECUBES called Friday Fan Art! ©Eric Cartier ©Eric Cartier Eric Cartier is a fantastic cartoonist with marquee pedigree. He has penned the likes of Kaput & Zosky with Lewis Trondheim and his own cartoon character ‘Flip’ who travels around the world and gets into all kinds of adventures. Eric is a master cartoonist and the reason he is on the fan page is because I’m a fan of his! Salut Eric, I hope to get together again soon! 😉

Retro Ads.

Hey, cool ICECUBES readers, here’s a new feature I’m including for 2012! Retro ads. They often have great illustrations, funny copy and hilarious tag lines. They are so cool I thought we could feature them in the ‘Cool Pix’ section of the ‘Icebox’. If you didn’t know it already, the ‘Icebox’ is the blog section of ICECUBES. Take a look here and explore more than 120 pages of random coolness! Thanks and tell me what you think! 🙂 Leroy Brown 1947 Here’s our first entry. It’s a Bendix washing machine ad from 1947 featuring a great cartoony illustration by ‘Pony’. If anyone knows who that is please share it with us. Note the machine is also available in Canada and Mexico! 😉
